From Gathering To Filtering

In the last two decades there has been a dramatic shift in the skills that are required in order to make a living.

It is not about which languages to pick up or some specific technology stack.

Rather, it used to be the case that it was very important to be able to retrieve information, to know as much as possible in order to increase the probability to have the correct tools for solving real life problems.

The radical shift happened is that now the most valuable skill is to be able to filter off from the information deluge the informations that are actually relevant.

The ability to discern, to discard what is not worth, to focus in spite of the social mayhem.

Less is More, provided you are doing the right choices.
